Classes and tickets!

Classes and tickets!

We know you've all been eagerly awaiting the class schedule for EYF 2016 - Thank you for your patience!

When will the classes be available for booking?
Our class programme (17th-19th March 2016) is available HERE, with booking available  after Saturday 31st October, 2pm GMT. This should give you plenty of time to peruse the schedule and make your selection. Tickets for the classes will include entry to the Festival Marketplace for both days (18th and 19th March) so there will be no need to buy an extra ticket for that.
Reminder: The market place runs over 2 days (18th-19th), the class programme runs over 3 (17th-19th)!

Tickets for the market place
If you don't want to take a class, but want to buy a ticket for the market place only , please bear with us. Our Vendor list will be released in December, at which point we will also start to sell tickets. We can already promise you a cornucopia of yarny delights. If you subscribe to our mailing list, you will not be able to miss the date!

In the meantime, we have put together some useful information to help you plan your stay in our beautiful city:

Planning your stay in Edinburgh during EYF 2016
We love our city and want you to have the BEST time too!
Architecture, art & culture, restaurants and cafes - Edinburgh has a lot to offer for visitors and in a series of posts we want to share our knowledge about our city with you and we start with public transport and highlighting different areas of the city to help you choose a place to stay.

Location, Location, Location
Once the class schedule is released, lots of you will start to book travel and accommodation. Since many of our visitors will come from further afield we thought we put some useful info together to help you plan your stay. This first instalment is about finding your bearings in the city and the most convenient and interesting areas to book somewhere to stay. In the run-up to the festival we will release more information about about local attractions and our favourite things to do in the city - stay tuned!

Orientation around Edinburgh
Check out this map we've created with some guidance around key locations like our venue(s), the airport, bus routes that pass the festival venue and the best areas to stay in. You can see at a glance the three bus routes (Nr.35, 44/44a and 4) that stop close or right in front of the main venue (red, blue and purple), the tram line (black), the airport, the train stations and some areas like the actual city centre (red), the central area of Edinburgh (blue) and other good areas to look for accommodation (yellow).
Please note that some of the yellow areas outside the city centre may not offer a lot in terms of holiday accommodation, but we highlighted them anyway, just in case you are interested. Click on the map image below to you to the online version where you can zoom in. If you select the different elements on the map you will see a little pop-up windows with extra notes.
