Including reinforced flaps, short-row or after-thought heels, toe up cast on techniques and kitchener grafting. With advice on knitting the perfect sock that fits your foot shape perfectly.
Skills focus: A short class will allow us to focus on 1-3 techniques, but a detailed hand out covering many many different techniques suitable for socks will be given.
Skills needed: Being able to knit, purl, knit in the round and follow basic patterns is all that is required for this class. Other sts such as K2tog, SSL, W&T Will be covered in this class.
Materials to bring: fingering/4-ply yarn
Double pointed needles (4-5 needles) in 2.5-3mm, or a 80-100cm 2.5-3mm circular knitting needle
clasped/closable stitch markers can be useful if you need help 'reading your knitting'
Pen & paper for note taking is also useful.
"Homework": Please bring 1 or 2 pieces of circular knitting, approximately 64/68sts knit in the round with fingering/4-ply sock yarn on 2.5-3mm needles.
