What to do when the Corn Exchange is closed to the public (Wednesday 14th all day or before marketplace opening on all other days) but you need some coffee or lunch? There are a few options nearby.
Bert's Coffee Bar is in the same building as the Corn Exchange, but is open independently - it has good coffee and a nice selection of light lunch and cake options.
There is a branch of Costa Coffee and a Marks & Spencer Café across from the Corn Exchange, around five minutes' walk away in a small retail park.
There is also the Nuffield Health café - the health club behind the Corn Exchange has a café open to the public (you don't need to be a health club member to enter the café). We have arranged it with them so that our visitors can use the café if they would like to. It's particularly handy for the Risk Factory, so for those of you who have a class there, it gives another option. And if you'd like to work out, you can! Many thanks to Nuffield Health:
