Knitting can be used for relaxation. Knitting can be used as meditation. In this workshop, we’ll slow completely down. The students will get an introduction to mindfulness, what it means and can do. We’ll try different ways of experiencing mindfulness; we’ll meditate together and we’ll knit together. Students don’t need to have any prior experience with meditation, but should be able to cast on and knit and purl.
Level: Comfortable with basic knitting
Skills needed: Students should be able to cast on and knit and purl
Materials to bring: a ball of fingering weight yarn cotton, linen or a blend of the two, and needles to match.
