After dedicating all those precious hours to create your beautifully knitted fabric, don’t let your approach to finishing and sewing-up prevent you from producing a gorgeous "hand made" – as opposed to "home made" – garment. During this class, we will focus on some of those techniques used to achieve a professional finish including sewing-up seams using mattress stitch, short-row shaping and different methods of casting on and off.
Skills focus: This class focuses on learning the skills necessary to professionally complete a garment, including sewing up seams using different versions of mattress stitch, short-row shaping and different methods of casting on and off.
Skills needed: Need to know how to knit and purl, simple decreasing.
Materials to bring: Knitting homework (detailed below), leftover yarn and yarn band.

"Homework": In order to get the most out of the workshop, you will be required to bring with you some small stocking-stitch samples to make a baby's v-neck vest top, details of which will be provided upon registration.
