Come along to this workshop to learn how to make Jane's popular Mystical Lanterns tesselating 'ogee' motif.
Within the class Jane will talk you through her inspiration for this design and show you how to work the basic motif, which includes a mixture of stitches including double crochet, half treble, treble and cluster stitches. Within the class Jane will talk you through how to read the pattern and how to work with a chart as well as showing you how to work in a neat and even way.
Skills needed: Participants need to be able to work the basic crochet stitches and have an idea of how to read a written crochet pattern. The class will use UK terminolgy and not US.
Materials to bring: Jane will bring along a mixture of yarns for you to work with, but most will have a wool content so please bring along your own choice of DK weight yarn in 4 shades if you have an allergy or preference. Please also bring a 3.5mm & 4mm crochet hook, a knitter's sewing needle, some stitch markers and a pair of scissors. A pencil and notebook could also come in handy.
