Tired of tick marks and spreadsheets of when to work what shaping or pattern? Picked up a project after a few weeks (or months, or years) and have no idea where you are in the pattern? Being able to look at your needles and know at a glance what’s going on is one of the most empowering things a knitter can know. In this class, we’ll go over the basics of stitch construction and knitting comprehension so you can gain confidence in your work on the needles.
Skills focus: understanding the structure of knitted fabric.
Skills needed: knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, and a general familiarity with stitch patterns.
Materials to bring: smooth, non-haloed worsted weight yarn and appropriate needles. Please also bring any languishing projects that are waiting for you to figure out where you left off–we’ll use them as class examples!
- This class is sold out. We have a general waiting list which you can join: we'll email you whenever any places open up in a previously-full class. You only need to sign up once. JOIN WAITING LIST
