Love the look of lace patterns but still do not feel ready for them? Try this class! I will show you different types of decreases typically used in lace patterns, how to deal with yarn overs or double yarn overs, and, most importantly: How to read charts and symbols, which will open up a whole new knitting world to you if you have not tried it yet. We will knit a little swatch during class to try out all new techniques. A printed version of my lace pattern "Jasminde" is included in the class price.
Note: This is a class for lace beginners! If you have successfully finished a lace project before, you are certainly overqualified for attending this class.
Skills focus: Yarn overs, various decreases and increases, reading charts.
Skills needed: Casting on, knitting and purling.
Materials to bring: Light-colored fingering weight yarn (no multicolors, please) and matching needles, i. e. needle size a bit bigger than indicated on the ball band.
