Do you love fair isle designs but prefer crochet over knitting? Then this class is for you! Join me to learn how to create beautiful crochet colourwork designs of your choice that you can apply to many different projects such as hats, bags, mitts and much more. We will create a small project during the class that will teach you all you need to know to start working all those colourwork patterns you have been eyeing for a while.
Skills needed: How to work and join a crochet chain
How to work UK double crochet/US single crochet
Materials to bring: DK non-splitty yarn of your choice in two colours
One hook 3.00mm to 4.00mm* (a type that is comfortable for your hands and wrists)
Lockable stitch markers
* Tapestry crochet can be worked with different hook sizes depending on how you want the fabric to be: more dense and stiff (which I personally use for purses and bags) or looser and more drapey. If you have pain in your wrists or hands when crocheting I recommend you bring a larger size of hook (such as 4.00mm) to avoid any discomfort; just be aware that the resulting fabric won’t be as dense.
Any “homework”?: None.
