You will be guided through knitting with more than one colour at a time as used in traditional Fair Isle knitting. During class you will knit a small Fair Isle sample in the round that can either be worn as a wrist warmer or used as a swatch. The traditional techniques used in knitting Fair Isle in Shetland will be discussed and Donna will give you tips (e.g. how to hold your yarn) to help with your future Fair Isle knitting projects. You'll be working on how to knit efficiently with more than one colour at a time, how to hold the yarn and why colour dominance is important.

Materials to bring: Set of 3 or more DPNs in size 3.00 mm, 3.25 mm or 3.5 mm, or circular needles to knit small circumferences in the round.
