In this workshop participants will work through a crochet block motif, which echoes the design theme of Jane's Crochet Along style project 'Bohemian Blooms' and will include many of the techniques Jane used in her blanket.
Participants will be shown how to read and understand one of Jane’s crochet patterns, how to join in new yarn shades, how to weave in yarn ends and how to work crochet stitch techniques, including 3D layered crochet and beading.
Skills needed: This is not a workshop for brand new crocheters and crocheters must have a good knowledge of stitches and techniques and know how to read a written crochet pattern.
Materials to bring: Participants will need to bring along a 3mm, 3.5mm and 4mm crochet hook and a notebook and pen/pencil. A small sewing kit including scissors, a knitters sewing needle, and a fine sewing needle and thread is also required. Yarn will be provided.
Any "homework"?: My patterns are written in UK terminology so an understanding of this is an advantage, but not essential.
